webcomic/indie comic from the 2010s. basically a sci-fi short story about a young girl (with red hair?) who was being raised by scientists as part of an experiment. she receives a haircut/has her head shaved, in preparation for her annual brain scan/testing. it is revealed that while her body is human, her "brain" is artificial, made of computer implants throughout her skull and spine. at some point her biological mother (also a scientist on the same campus?) encounters her and is repulsed, viewing her as a machine who has murdered her daughter.

it was very poignant and it bruised my heart and i can NOT find it anywhere

idk if anyone remembers this or even knew about it but there used to be this site called turntables or smth like that idk it was dj themed and it was where you could join a group and everyone would get to take turns adding a song to the queue and it was so fun

i know you can do shit kinda like that on spotify or whatever now but man it would be cool if we were able to do that when we’re just chilling on dash… like you used to be able to just join or leave you didn’t have to add people or anything like that

God man. I'm rewatching 2012 (again) and like. I genuinely forgot just how funny and silly the first two seasons are. Like I'm only on episode 6 of season one and I've found something to laugh at at every single episode so far. And the way they really focus on every single character is just. *chef kiss*

They were literally simply teenagers man. They were so silly. The trauma bus is gonna hit them so hard and I am scared for them

I woke up depressed today and now I'm happy after watching three episodes like this show is my coping mechanism even if it'll make me sad later geeze
